As part of my Decentralised Success Story series, meet my friend Nandini Agrawal
Born into a modest family in Morena (Madhya Pradesh) – a small town about 500 km from Bhopal – Nandini’s journey combines academic excellence, corporate success, and digital influence – a trio rarely mastered at such a young age.
Her father runs a small tax practice at Morena, her mother is a homemaker, and both encouraged her to dream big through Chartered Accountancy.
After securing AIR 31 in the CA Intermediate examinations, she moved from Morena to Delhi to begin her articleship at PwC.
At the age of 19 (when most of us were chasing Valentine dates), she cleared CA Finals with AIR 1, becoming India’s youngest Chartered Accountant, a feat recognized by the Guinness World Records.
Without an MBA, Nandini entered the elite world of management consulting.
She cracked a role at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Management Consultant.
She worked on impactful projects, including the G20.
Soon after, she moved into a Private Equity role at GIC. GIC is the Government of Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund with over $500bn+ in AUM.
For those unaware, Private Equity is significantly harder to break into than Investment Banking, with compensation often around twice as high.
Even after landing a coveted PE role at the age of 23, Nandini steadily expanded her journey into content creation, influencing, and mentoring alongside her professional career.

She is also a mentor on topmate.io, a guest speaker at ICAI events, and has received an Honorary Doctorate for her contributions to education and youth empowerment.
I recently met Dr. Nandini for a coffee and together we are launching a live learning cohorts to master AI + Excel.
What stayed with me was not her AIR 1, consulting background, or PE role, but her calm, soft spoken demeanor and humility.
Despite remarkable achievements, there was hardly any ego or transactional intent.
And before you start picturing a “typical nerd topper,” let me stop you right there!!
She’s a dancer, plays pickleball, loves cooking, has done multiple treks and international trips (Aur hum logo ka Goa plan bhi nahi ho para, haha)
She’s a constant learner reads one book a week and loves exploring AI tools.
