Growing Up Doesn’t Mean Growing Distant

Whenever I step out for work, my father still offers me a small sum of money.

Today, I proudly fall under one of the highest tax brackets in the country – yet I still accept it. Every evening around 5 PM, my mom calls to ask what I’d like for dinner. I can cook for myself or easily order a 5-star meal – yet I still ask her to prepare my favourite dish.

In a world obsessed with “isms” and labels like strong, young, independent, we often forget the simple art of letting others care for us. Parents derive immense satisfaction from nurturing their children. Avoid depriving them of that joy by pretending you’ve outgrown it.
